Product Description
Validamycin 3% L is an antibiotic fungicide used to control Sheath Blight in rice and other soil-borne diseases caused by the fungus Rhizoctonia solani. It works through contact action to destroy the fungus and is often formulated as a liquid (L).
How it works:
Contact action:The fungicide acts on the fungal hyphae (the thread-like structures of the fungus), destroying them on contact.
Fungistatic action: It causes abnormal branching of the pathogen's tips, which stops further development.
Curative action: This provides rapid control of existing infections.
Target Pests:
- Primarily targets Sheath Blight in rice.
- Effective against soil-borne diseases caused by Rhizoctonia solani.
- Also used for other diseases caused by Rhizoctonia solani and other basidiomycetes fungi.
